Och aye the noo.

I'm off again,

to a place called Callander, a small town in the region of Stirling, Scotland.

Im packed and ready for the long drive 'up north' and cannot wait to reach at my destination.

The lush stone walls, high ceilings and stunning surrounding of Callander Meadows awaits.

Maybe i'll eat plenty of this?......

And see a few of these....

But what more can you ask for, with a view like this!

Bring on my relaxing week in the highlands!

Fashion Capital, Milano!

Milan: Fashion Capital of THe World

Really?
The overall atmosphere that I received from Milan was pretty 'drab' (going back to my first blog)

There was some cool, yet strange art work on show in restaurants....

and some beautiful, inspiring graffiti art...

And to be honest, the views were pretty spectacular.

We discovered that any car could be a taxi, if it was white!

The rooftop terrace and cocktails definitely lifted the spirits of the place, and it was, by far, the best part of the trip!

There are also some swanky bars and cafe's if you look away from the touristy areas, with extremely welcoming staff, so that was a bonus.

But, I was expecting more. I guess sometimes things do not meet your expectations. I reckon the fashion capital of the world should be re-judged.

Milan: Tartan Irony

When I purchased my 'bargain of 2013', I never would have thought that I would be including it in some kind of text, but here it is...

The Tartan Skirt:

Believe it or not, I paid a whole 99 English pence for this devilish tube skirt in August 2013, and I can honestly say, it was the best 99p I have ever spent.

Now, with my Milan trip drawing closer, it has become apparent to me that I actually have something reasonably 'fashionable' within my wardrobe, and funnily enough, it is the cheapest item of clothing I own.

                       I love the irony!

So after a few new purchases, I think I'm about ready to hit Milan!

I'll be the one in Tartan and what seems to look like a 'trench coat'.
Wish me luck!

Milan: Dress Code

So I stand here asking myself, how the hell am I going to conjure up some outfits for the first trip of my year, Milan, Italy!?

I peer in the mirror and see myself from the bottom up; scruffy, limited addition Iron Maiden, Vans, skinny jeans and a top that seems almost to summery for this time of year (wishful thinking I believe)

How the hell am I going to pull this off?
My, not so fashionable, wardrobe awaits to be rummaged through........................

..............Time to hit the shops I reckon !!

This week: The Word Drab

The word 'Drab' has been brought to my attention this week!
A word I have never really used previously, however it has became highly necessary throughout the last week in February 2014.

The village of Mountsorrel in Leicestershire, England looked considerably 'drab' on the last day of February 2014.
A bitter chill filled the air and it was a perfectly crisp day for a walk.
With a different view over mountsorrel on this day, I couldn't help but long to be somewhere with sun.
....in conclusion, bring on the sunshine !
